String instruments have been around for centuries, and guitar-like instruments have been described in literature and paintings since the 13th century. Today's classic acoustic guitars are based on a design created by the Spanish guitar builder, Antonio de Torres Jurado (1817-1892), created in the 1850s. Torres Jurado was convinced that the shape of the resonance box, the cavity of the guitar's body, was paramount, because it was there that the sound was reinforced and reinforced. He changed the proportions of the instrument a little and found mounting stiffer in wood in a special fan pattern inside the guitar. And especially the last improved guitar volume and sound so radical that it went on became standard in the classical guitar of the aftermath.

Inventor / designer: The American inventor and helicopter designer Charles H. Kaman (1919-2011) sought patenting in 1969 on a guitar with a specially designed bottom and arm.
